Whats the best way to transport a fridge?

Fridge's are difficult to move. laying it down and strapping it in is obviously the best way, but that kills the fridge. It has to be kept upright to aviod damaging the refridgerator. All you can do is strap it in tightly and ensure it can't tip over. Pickup trucks work well because you can brace it against the back of the cab to help prevent it from tipping, but even that only goes so far. Just be sure that it cant slide, tip, or have the doors fly open, and be sure you can see around it in your side view mirrors. Then drive carefully, take turns very slowly, dont swerve or accelorat/brake hard.
