check the connection on the end of the pos(+) and neg(-) battery cables. sometime the car won't start if the cables are loose or corroaded. this may get you started I hope it helps.

You need to replace the bulb in your lights. The dim lights and bright lights have different bulbs.
On the 1987, it's at the lower left corner of battery tray...mine has a little red bulb at top of stick.
