You need to purchase the add on harness from the dealer. This harness plugs into one of the junction blocks located under the driver's side of dash above your left foot area. The other end of the harness attaches to your trailer brake controler. The trailer brake "blue" wire in back is folded back and tucked in the rear harness on the left side of the rear frame rail. You may have to drop the spare tire to expose it and connect it to the trailer connector plug.

The brake light switch was probably knocked out of adjustment. Crawl under dash and look for a plunger switch that contacts the brake pedal arm. Pull the switch away from the arm by a few clicks. That should do it. PULL THE FUSE TO RESET THE BRAKE COMPUTER AND THE LIGHT STAYS OFF.
