Charles F. Kettering of Dayton Engineering Laboratories Company (DELCO) invented and filed for U.S. Patent 1,150,523 for the first useful electric starter.
The electric self-starter for cars was invented by Charles Kettering in 1912. He developed this innovation while working for General Motors, and it was first used in the 1912 Cadillac. The self-starter eliminated the need for hand cranking, making cars more accessible and safer to operate. Kettering's invention significantly contributed to the popularity of automobiles.
I believe Charles Kettering did. -He was one of the most prolific auto parts inventors with hundreds of items to his credit.

The electric lawn mower was invented in 1830.
The starter solenoid receives a large electric current from the car battery and a small electric current from the ignition switch. When the ignition switch is turned on, a small electric current is sent to the starter solenoid. This causes the starter solenoid to close a pair of heavy contacts, thus relaying a large electric current to the starter motor, which in turn sets the engine in motion.
Micheal Boaslink invented the electric bowtie in 2006.
In 1903, the first U.S. patent for an automobile electric self-starter was issued to Clyde J. Coleman of New York City. He invented the self-starter in 1899, but the invention was impractical. The license was purchased by the Delco Company, which was taken over by the General Motors Corporation. Charles Kettering at General Motors modified the self-starter, and made it practical. It was first installed on Cadillac cars in 1911. By 1920, nearly every car had a self-starter.
Wilhelm Fein invented the portable electric drill in 1895.
