Because it is so old it needs scrapping.
Sounds like ignition switch
no bus in odometer led is lost communication from computer or computers
To honk a horn on a vehicle, it has to be one that your driving and NOT controlling a weapon while driving. Such as an ATV or a jeep when your driving by yourself. You just have to push the button you usually do to fire your weapon. Instead, you get a nice little honda-sounding honk. Hope this helped! =)
check your crank position sensor.
If you drive your truck while there is a miss in the engine. You will notice it lacks power and may back fire.. if continued driving it will eventually just quit running
I Currently own a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it has or had the same problem... What i Did was find the computer and messed with the cables a bit. The truck turned rite on. The problem is that in order to keep it running i put tape going around the computer and cables... it works as if they were just loose or something... i don't know what the name for the cables is and am currently trying to find that out....
The fact that you drive a Jeep Cherokee has nothing to do with your speedometer problem. The fact that you have a broken speedometer cable or sensor has everything to do with your problem. It is just about worn out. Soon it will stop working. You need to replace it. It can not be fixed.
