The fuel pressure could have drained down, and it takes a little to build it back up. Try turning the ignition on for a few seconds but not cranking the engine. THEN try to start it and see if it works any better. If it's just leaking down pressure, don't worry about it. It's such an insignificant problem that you shouldn't be concerned with repairing it.

What is the difference between a diesel engine and a petrol engine ignition of mixture?

petrol engine - Fuel and air mixtures together and compressed in engine. These mixtures ignited by Spark plug Diesel Engine - Air only compressed at high pressure and Temperature. Fuel injected at high temp so that the ignition takes place

What are the Differences between diesel and petrol engines with respect to mixing of the air and fuel?

Diesel engines use a compression ignition system, where air is compressed to a high pressure and temperature before diesel fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber, leading to spontaneous ignition. In contrast, petrol engines utilize a spark ignition system, where a mixture of air and petrol is pre-mixed and drawn into the combustion chamber, then ignited by a spark plug. This fundamental difference affects their efficiency, performance, and emissions, with diesel engines generally being more fuel-efficient and providing more torque at lower speeds. Additionally, the air-fuel mixing process in petrol engines is more uniform compared to the direct injection in diesel engines.

Why injector is not used in petrol engine?

They can be. Petrol engines can be either fuel injected, or have carburetors. Smaller engines, like scooters, lawnmowers etc are almost always carburetted, while car engines are usually fuel injected these days.

What is the difference between a diesel engine and a petrol engine - mixing of the air and fuel?

in the original gasoline (petrol) engine fuel and air were premixed in a carburetor before entering the cylinder through the intake valve, ignition is caused later when the spark plug fires (to prevent high compression high power engines from knocking and thus damaging themselves it was necessary to use only high octane fuel, which typically required adding tetraethyl lead a deadly poison to the fuel)in the diesel engine the fuel is injected into the air filled cylinder at maximum compression and instantly ignites (from the heat of compression)in the modern fuel injected gasoline (petrol) engine fuel is injected into the air filled cylinder just before the spark plug fires (to prevent the chance of knocking (i.e. preignition) because of use of low octane fuel)

Which has a highest starting ignition between petrol n diesel?

Diesel has highest ignition temperature.. So only diesel cant be used in petrol engine

What is the Ignition temperature of petrol?

246 degree Celsius............

What is ignition temperature of petrol?

246 degree Celsius............

Why is carburetor used in petrol engine but not in diesel engine?

a petrol engine needs to mix its air and fuel before passing it into the combustion chamber before being ignited diesel has its air mixture heated as the piston compresses it in the combustion chamber then the atomized diesel fuel is injected into the hot air and is ignited.

Which other element must be present for petrol to burn?

As well as petrol you need oxygen and an ignition source

Is the Peugeot 106 fuel injected?

depends upon model, diesel yes, petrol, not always, If petrol, look for 2 black fuel lines on the left of engine, if they go to a large metal thing just after the air filter, it's not injected. otherwise it is

Why petrol does not catch fire on its own temperature?

Petrol has a high ignition temperature, which means it requires a certain amount of heat to ignite. The autoignition temperature of petrol is around 246 degrees Celsius, which is higher than typical ambient temperatures. This is why petrol does not catch fire spontaneously at normal temperatures.

How are internal combustion engines?

you cut off the ignition spark in a petrol engine
