Bad tires and bad alignment can cause the car to shake at certain speeds.
You wont hear much of a sound, but more of a vibration at certain speeds. I recently installed a set of tires on my truck and because of an inbalance, around 70mph the truck would start to shake. Once I had it corrected it was smooth sailing.
What make the steering wheel shake is the tires that need wheel balance.
cuold be your cv axles or your tires could not be balance correctly Also some tires arent rated for these speeds and will vibrate. Watch out cause you can actually separate the plies using a unrated tire at high speed.
when your turning your tires might be to big so you'll need to buy spacers for you tires so your tires wont rub and grind on the insides of the tires ducts and they make noise and shake because you have to titen your rims and/or they might be broken
The symptom would indicate a wheel/tire/balance problem. You need to have a professional inspect if you are driving at those speeds. also make sure if you drive at 120+ mph, you have "Z" rated tires for safety.
balance the tires
Normally this is caused by one or more of the tires out of balance. If the steering wheel is shaking then you know it is a front tire. Have all your tires rotated and balanced.
Low speed problems are usually related to bad tires, probably separated belts in tires. A quick front end shake down should be in order too to make sure no bad front end parts which can be dangerous. Any more info would be helpful!
I have already redone the suspension and tires and rims and the problem still exists
The shake down of anyone is when they are given a choice but if they don't make the choice that a certain group or person wants, then they give you a shake down. This happens a lot in political and government positions.
More than likely your tires are out of balance. Have your tires rotated and balanced. Make sure they check for a bent wheel.
It is obvious the tires are the problem as it did not do this before installing the new tires. It may be one of the tires is defective as in a broken belt. Take the car back where you bought the tires. Have all 4 tires removed and inspected. If they find nothing wrong have the tires remounted and rotated 180 degrees on the wheel. Also make sure the lug nuts are torqued to factory specs. Have the wheels inspected to see if one is bent or there is something on the back side of the wheel causing it to not mount correctly. Tar, a rock, etc. If that does not solve the problem tell them to replace the tires with a different brand. something is wrong with these tires.
