they dont hurt they can damage your own nail underneath and cause weak & brittle nails or just pain to the nail bed. When taking off acrylics make sure that you do it profesinally or use a specific nail remover. XD

they can if you dont do it right, is suggest doing it profffesionaally, and yes they can really hurt if they rip off, cuz they will rip ur atuall nail off aswell.

If you have them on your nails for long periods of time, without giving your natural nails a chance to breathe, then yes, acrylic nails can be very bad.

You are also more open to nail fungus.

Your natural fingernails should be in very healthy condition before you have acrylics put on.

yes, acrylic nails r bad for your nail health as they scrape your original natural nails to make a rough surface on what to stick the acrylic nails. Hence your original nails r worn down to a thin surface and tend to weaken too.

Nope! Because acrylic paint is actually safer than nail polish since nail polish has more dangerous chemicals that are harmful. Most of the nail artist people who do designs actually use some paint too. Hope this helps!

They make your nails more fragile, but are okay if you only were them ocassionally. Also, if you take them off by soaking them in nail polish remover its helpful. What happens is that the acrylic sticks to the nail and when you simply bite or pick them off, the top layer of your natural nail comes off, too. However, they are very pretty if done right so I'd just get them done every now and then.

the only problem is that it makes your real nails underneath very weak, so you pretty much have to wear acrylic nails all the time or else you will have to deal with thin, weak nails
