Acne cannot be stopped at 100%. Yes, even if you take 3 showers a day, or if you use Proactive or Clean&Clear. It may go away for a period of time, but I guarantee you that you cannot put an infinite end to it. I'm not sure if adults still have it, but as long as teens are teens, you and the rest of the teen population will always have acne. It may be a disappointing answer, but I guess that's how life works. I really hope this helps you out at least a little.
