If it hangs or dangles chances are good that it will retain a piercing. Placing the navel piercing off to the side will be problematic for aftercare and irritation during the healing process. If you haven't had a navel piercing before then stay with something that is simpler to care for and will give a result a navel piercing is supposed to give.
clip-on fake belly button ring Seriously in this day and age of fake reality TV who likes posers? There are not a lot of piercing enthusiasts who like posers, if you want a piercing get a piercing but don't fake it. Rule of thumb if it's phony on the out side the inside can't be much better.
On your back or side.
Your belly button is in your middle on the bottom side.
As long as you follow the aftercare given to you by your piercer, there are no risks involved in navel piercings. There are no nerves or viens in that area of your body. Edit: As far as i know, theres no definite risks. Infection is a probablitie for any piercing, and from my research, its quite common on naval piercings so make sure you keep it clean (:

Visit your doctor.
Yes, your belly (including its "button") are on the anterior side.
I would suggest not sleeping on your stomach wearing tight shirts, or pants that are too high. Since you probably have a ring piercing than it would definitely be more noticeable if its leaning to one side, but when you switch it for a barbell it wont matter. But if it's really bothering you then try leaning the piercing down on the opposite side, that's what i did for mine and now its fine, it's probably just been leaning to one side to much.
It is NOT RECOMMENDED to go tanning after any body piercing. When lying in a tanning bed, the jewelry that is in a new piercing will heat up and burn your raw pierced skin. This is not good for the healing process. I'm not sure what happens if you do, but to be on the safe side, DON'T TAN WITH A NEW PIERCING!!!!
The right and left side of the neck or the belly button
No!!! That is a totally rediculous question
