Yes, I have used a generic developer for years and the results have always been GREAT. The product and BEST color I have ever used is "Wella Color Charm". I have tried all the "latest and new brands "over the past 30 years and always went back to Wella because it is tried and TRUE!! Stay with the oldest, it's still around for a reason.
Mix equal parts of developer and Wella color.
I am not a hairstylist, but I do my own color at home with Wella Color Charm 7WR and I use the 30 cream developer. It was recommended to me at Sally's. I tried it once with the 20 developer and it turned out weird and dark.
You must mail in 24 Wella Color box tops or proof of purchase (receipts) along with $5.00 for shipping and handling to Wella.

Wella Honey Blonde will give you more of a gold result . If you're looking for a more whiter blonde, try Wella Ultra Light Blonde or Frosty Ash and mix with 20 vol. cream developer.
To use Wella T18 (Lightest Ash Blonde) toner, first, mix it with a developer, typically a 20-volume developer, in a 1:2 ratio. Apply the mixture to pre-lightened, bleached hair, focusing on areas where you want to neutralize yellow or brassy tones. Leave it on for 30-40 minutes, checking the color regularly, then rinse thoroughly and follow up with a conditioner. Always perform a strand test beforehand to ensure desired results.
I personally think they are both very good for different reasons....depending on your clients desire for warmth in their finished color choice.... geographically you will find that some women like cooler results..(Wella) and some warmer (Goldwell)...I have worked with both for many years and for grey coverage..I have not found anything else to compare to Wella......for lovely shine and great condition after the color service..make sure you use performance plus....Goldwell is a lovely line for richness and reds.....I enjoy them both...

Yes, you can mix Schwarzkopf 9-888 with Wella 367, but it's important to note that they have different formulations and developers. Mixing different brands may result in unexpected colors or outcomes, so it's advisable to conduct a strand test first. Additionally, check the manufacturer's guidelines for both products to ensure compatibility. Always use the appropriate developer for the desired results.
