Probably not any type of skull developmental problems, but I would not recommend giving babies dreadlocks. Toddler may be a more appropriate age. Locks require a lot of work when they are new, and I can't imagine a baby putting up with you messing with their hair for that long... nor can I imagine a baby with enough hair to successfully dreadlock.

this is false dreads only require work ifd you chose a method that requires work
babies hair dreads naturaly
see the below links we have many babies with dreads as young as 14 months (started dreading at 8 months)

What salt water does to dreadlocks?

Salts open microscopic hair follicles (spelling?), which will help hairs bind together with each other. This makes dreadlocks tighter and mature faster. It is great for dreadlocks, however only all-natural sea salts should be used. Also, overuse of salt water in dreadlocks can cause the hair to become extremely dry and brittle, and sometimes cause dread breakage.its also corrosive so can irritate the scalp if left on
