Protecting the nail from wear can help then be longer, not by making them grow, but by helping them not wear off.

Cheap polish and remover and not using a good base coat can make them dry and they may peel or split more.

Im don't know if its true, I have been told that it can weaken your nails if you wear it all the time. You can help strengthen your nails by putting a coat of nail strengthener on your nails before your nail polish. ( that tip was given to me by a nail/beauty therapist). x no nail polish does not damage your nails

No, but I have this thing that is Sally Hansen Miracle Growth or something and it moisturizes your nails and makes them grow longer faster.

It won't directly help them grow but there are nail polish brands that make nail polish that will help protect and strengthen them so the are less likely to break.

Yes it does damage your nails. They have to soak in pure acetone to get off the drill off the rest. My toenails have gotten thin and one is split. I never had these issues when just using polish. Now during this pandemic. I can’t even get this mess off.
