I'm on Antabuse also.

Most nail polishes are made of nitrocellulose dissolved in a solvent (e.g. butyl acetate or ethyl acetate) and either left clear or colored with various pigments. (No alcohol, unless It's a fast drying color, or top coat, they should say the main ingredients on the bottles.)

You should be fine to paint your nails.

Polish remover should be fine. I have a generic kind, which lists no alcohol, but acetone is the first ingredient... Acetone is naturally produced and disposed of in the human body as a result of normal metabolic processes. Acetone is the organic compound with the formula (CH3)2CO. This colorless, mobile, flammable liquid is the simplest example of the ketones.

I was worried about painting my nails, but I think I'm going to go ahead and do It anyways today. I might just do a couple, wait a bit, remove It, wait a bit, and see If all goes well.

You really need to look on the label to see if it has it in it..."Cosmetic products, including those labeled "alcohol free," may contain other alcohols, such as cetyl, stearyl, cetearyl, or lanolin alcohol. "--so look for those ingredients...also anything with the SD Alcohol 23-A, SD Alcohol 40, or SD Alcohol 40-B listed in the ingredients.

Neither my nail polish, or remover I found have any in It, yours may not either, just make sure to check.

Good luck, I hope I helped at least a little!
