There will be bumps in the cartilage near the piercing. It is better to be pierced with a needle.
There isn't a definite way to tell
Bottom line piercing the cartilage is always problematic with piercing guns so I would tell you to see a real professional body piercer and get the piercing done with the basic jewellery to start then consider changing it once you have crossed the initial healing period.
yes they should tell you after the piercing and thank you for using answers .com --Wait a bit longer to wear acrylics in it though.
I haven't gotten my nose pierced yet but all my sisters friends have one and they tell me a nose piercing herts more but you may think the opposite. I am nine and i got my ears pierced when i was 3. it Hert after wards a little bit but when you get older it doesn't hert as much. I really want a nose piercing and a belly button ring and a second and third ear piercing. also i want a cartilage piercing on my left here are the piercings WANTED BY ME:::::: Nose bellybutton second third forth cartilage
not really sure i think its 1 month or 6 weeks, but the lady who did my ear said after 6 week's you will be able to tell whether your piercings ready to come out.
You most likely have an infection...you should go to a professional piercer first, they'll tell you what they think...dont take the earing out even if you go to the doctor and they tell you too dont take it out. ask for some antibiotic and from the piercer info on what to do
It really doesn't hurt very bad. But when its pierced you will hear a good "pop" or "crunch" sound (which most piercing junkies like myself think is funny) My advice though is to make sure to have it pierced in a tattoo or piercing parlor which uses one use sterilized needles NOT a piercing gun. It will hurt less and heal much, much better. What most shops that use piercing guns probably wont tell you is that the gun is actually not intended for any piercing other than lower lobe.
No way to tell. Depends oh how old it is and how your body heals.
Go back to the facility that did the piercing and tell them to fix the problem, they did the piercing so they need to help you out. They provided the service and they are accountable for there actions so see them before doing anything else (get photos). Root cause: you pierced cartilage with a gun. Studs for piercing guns are only one length. If your ear swells up, which any piercing can do infected or not, it's going to get caught between the back and the ball on a piercing stud...and you're in trouble. If you pierce cartilage with a needle, there's plenty of room for swelling on that jewelry. Body piercing studios can't help you with your issue. Legally that would be resolving a medical issue and practicing medicine without a license. You need to either go back to the studio that did the piercing and see what they will do for you (refund or cover your expenses etc.) but ultimately you will need to seek the assistance of your Doctor or medical treatment center.
ask them how they feel about piercings before you start to ask about you getting a piercing done
Contact you local body piercing studios, they will tell you what the age requirements are for your area.
If your jewellery is starting to look too long for the piercing the piercing is migrating and will open up at some point and drop the jewellery out.
