How do you convince parents to get cartilage pierced?

You can't. A parent's job is to raise a good kid and to stop them from doing things that may negatively affect the kid's life. I'm assuming that the 15yo is asking the question, so I'm sure that you don't think anything is wrong with it, but your mom may view it as something only "bad" kids or druggies do (for example) and doesn't want anyone thinking her child is either one of those. Do what the rest of us did, wait until you are 18, then you can do anything you want. You may look back and realize some of your parent's decisions were for your own good, or not, as the case may be. Not necessarily in your case, but when I look back at the things I wanted to do...geez, thank God I didn't get a chance before my parents stopped me. As I always tell my brother: BE GOOD! Has anyone informed you that a nose piercing could cost you your life? Even a slight infection in your nose will go straight to your brain and kill you. Is a nose ring that you will hardly ever see worth it? Have you tried sitting down with you mother and asked her her view on the piercing? Ask her to sit down and listen to your reasons that you want this piercing so bad that you don't want to wait 3 more years. And also let her explain why she don't want her daughter getting it done right now. Do this without any confrontation and show her that you are mature maybe that will change her mind. Well there is no "persuading" when it comes to desicions your parents make. Each parent has a good reason to each rule. I'm 13 and my mom brought up the idea of letting me get my eyebrow done, she just thinks peircing and hair dye are the little things and drugs and stuff are the big things, but this is coming from parents both in near death experiences and always say you only live once, so, you might want to get them to talk to the family friends that have peircings and tell them what goes on and stuff, or go to a peircing shop and have the peircer talk to your parents about side affects, healing process, how long it would take to close up, and before you do this you need to think about this more than an hour or so because you'll have that hole or scar there for your life so it's alot to think about.

OK well i was 13 (which you have to be or they wont to it because it can shatter you cartilage) , i first told my mom that i feel I'm responsible, and that i know all the info on it (you should show you parents the info) and i also said i would clean for. so my mom said no at first so a gave her like a month but you should give her about a week or two to think about it. don't keep bugging them or they might say no. i really hope this helps you good luck!

Start by researching. Figure out exactly what piercing you want, the location, and the type of jewelry you want in it. Find a clean quality piercing facility. Look up experiences people have had with that kind of piercing, you need to know what could come out of it. Sit down with your parents and tell them what you want, the pros and cons, and say you would pay for it. If they say no you could try getting better grades, doing chores around the house, or make an agreement with them. This might work but you never know what it can take to really convince them.
