First, cleanse and tone. This will get rid of any impurities on the skin surface to leave it fresher and brighter. Then use a base, spreading it evenly over the face and neck. Us a concealer to cover any spots or blemishes. Rub a green concealer into any oberly-red parts of your face- cheeks and nose are common offenders. Rub a light foundation, such as a mousse, evenly into your face. Use a liquid concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone in a circle around your eye, rubbing it right up to the lashline. Blend the bottom to make it flow into your foundation, so there is no visible white ring. Apply a higlighter to your forehead, cheekbones and the middle of your nose. Blend it in. Choose a natural shade of blusher - not too rosy! - and swirl a very small amount on and just below your cheekbones. NB: in summer, use bronzer swirled onto the parts of you that normally catch the sun - cheekbones, forehead and nose - instead of blusher and highlighter. To make your nose appear smaller, apply highlighter down the very middle a slightly darker than usual foundation rubbed in down the sides.
