First determine the type of wood oak, ash, or pine. Then the finish is it lacquer, urethane or french wax. If your wood table is oak with any of the mentioned finishes use a cotton swab soaked in a little acetone. Apply the acetone directly on the dried glue. After a few minutes, spray area with a soapy solution such a little dish washing liquid with water and scrap off the glue with the edge of a sharp knife. Angle the knife just enough so that it slides on the soapy water and catches on the glue. Once the glue is removed, dry and use a furniture polish immediately.

If the wood is ash or pine, use nail polish remover instead. Nail polish remover is less harsh however; it will evaporate before it penetrates the finish.

Can you glue down brazilian oak flooring?

The ability to glue down a floor is not dependent on the species of wood. Rather, it depends on the construction of the wood and the condition of the subfloor. If your wood is solid, you should nail it and not glue it, regardless of species. If it's engineered hardwood and if your surface is clear smooth then you can glue it. Bamboo is the one exception. Technically, the solid bamboo is considered solid, but it is constructed like an engineered product, so can glue solid bamboo down (you can also nail it into plywood, as well as float it). Also, you usually see in the box, the manufacturer's recommendation on how you can install, if it is a prefinished product.
