it will feel very uncomforable and possibly cut the inside of your lip
A ring that is too tight may feel uncomfortable, restrict blood flow to the finger, or cause swelling. To check if a ring is too tight, try to slide it off over the knuckle. If it feels difficult or painful to remove, the ring is likely too tight.
only if the ring is too tight...if you feel tingles in your thumb you are most likely to cut off the circulation and may notice a blue ring around your finger! too tight! too tight!
Your ring should be just tight enough not to slip too easily off your finger. A too tight ring can cause restriction of blood to the finger tip.
too tight
It's probably because of the stud you have in, It may be too tight. I recommend getting it changed to a longer stud if that is the problem. If that isn't the problem, Then it may be infected.
If the piercing was intended to be a barbell only and not a ring, the ring will cause migration due to the diameter of the inside of the ring,"too tight". Piercings with lips will migrate when you change jewellery from the original intended jewellery to other types IE rings.
Unscrew the ball or gem. If it's too tight to unscrew, either go to your piercer for a longer bar, or soak it in warm water to relieve the swelling.
Most people use soap or something oily.
Maybe because either it is not real silver (in which case the ring would start to turn a coppery colour after a while) or because you are allergic to the metal. Or it could be that it's too tight. My gold ring (I am not allergic to gold) is starting to leave a blue mark on my finger, but I think it's just because the ring is a bit too tight.
Just take the ball/bead out of it and put the ring on your lip. If the diameter of the ring is too long, it may not look realistic but just give it a shot. You can't do much else with it.
Well actually a lot of difference 18g is the smallest gauge, then 16g is the next biggest gauge followed by 14g being the largest gauge normally used for oral piercings on a male. Female lip piercings are normally 18g or 16g, 14g is too large and looks silly in a female lip.
Try turning the ring to get the ball out. If the skin has grown over the ball, go to your piercer. The ring just might be too small. Try doing it after a shower or soak with warm water.
