I have been a makeup artist for many years, having my own freelance business, working for Estee Lauder, and Lancome, and I strongly believe the best way to use foundation is to start with an exfoliated, clean, and moisturized face.

Step 2: Find a foundation that matches your skin tone. Test it by applying a little on your jaw and blending it down toward your neck. The color should always blend into your neck. That's how you know its the right color for you. Also, for best results, go for a foundation with medium-full coverage.

Step 3: Apply foundation with a clean foundation brush, and blend down. Foundation brushes give you a flawless finish and you use less of your foundation that way. Sponges will only absorb the foundation, and fingers will give you uneven coverage, and spread bacteria to your face.

Step 4: Apply a translucent powder on top, to help set the foundation, and than blush or bronzer.

There are many techniques people use to put on makeup but here are some ...

FOUNDATION

Powder - brush over face with a fluffy brush

Creme - use a makeup sponge or a dense kabuki brush to wipe over face and under eyes

Liquid - dot on face with fingers and then use a stippling brush to blend into face

BLUSH / BRONZER

Use a brush, and starting on the lower part of your cheekbones, gently brush towards hairline.

CONTOUR

Using a dense contour brush, feel where underneath your cheekbone is (an easier way to see where to contour is to suck your cheeks in - it's the bit that's most sucked in). Starting from the outside, carefully swipe the brush towards your mouth (not all the way, of course! :D). Then drag the contour into a C shape up onto your forehead. If you want, you can also contour the sides of your nose and underneath your jawline.

The best way is 2 use a big flat brush. This way it is Evan through out your face. After that u should put on after powder or shine free powder so your face isn't shiny any more. If u do those 2 things your face will look natural.

depends on the type. liquid: put a few dots on your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin, then either use your hands or a foundation brush and blend it in until it looks natural. powder: take a sponge and rub the products on then blend it into your skin. mousse/cream: take a foundation brush and apply it on like you are painting a portrait...just cover all the areas of your face

wash,tone and moisturise first then choose foundation best suited to your skin after blob a generous amount on the back of your hand next find some good brushes i recommend bobby brown 1s apply allover face and blend well making sure no lines or streaks when done use a loose powder allover your face this will block in the foundation helping to keep it on hpe this helps.:)

The best way to apply liquid foundation is by using a foundation brush The easiest way I have found is to put a q-tip down in the bottle what you pull out is all you will need for your face place a dot on your forehead, both cheeks, and chin then blend with foundation brush

If you WANT to look like you're wearing foundation, first put some on. Then, after you get a base coat on, put a little more on your sponge and dab all over your face. This will give you a nice "foundation" texture.

Most people who wear foundation want a nice even skintone without it being obvious; if that's what you're going for, apply a thin coat with a sponge--the best kind of sponge is a natural sea sponge.

i aply my foundatoin with a brush and i cant see any other way to aply foundaoin except for when trvaling you use a sponge and i just want to know how you aply YOUR foundatoin?
