To remove a buildup of polish from a dining room table, start by mixing equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Lightly mist the affected areas and wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth, rubbing gently in the direction of the wood grain. For stubborn buildup, you may need to use a fine microfiber cloth or a soft sponge. Always finish by applying a suitable wood conditioner or polish to restore the table's shine.

You can remove nail varnish remover and cotton wool that stuck to the remover from a wooden table using a Q-tip and nail polish remover. Slightly moisten the Q-tip with the nail polish remover and carefully dab the pieces of cotton wool that are stuck to the table. They should come off quite easily.
