A certified gemologist will help you understand the four Cs of grading diamonds: clarity, colour, cut and carat weight.
If you are buying a diamond as an investment, best practices dictate that you purchase a diamond accompanied by the gemologist's certificate, with the highest grade in all the four Cs that you can afford.
The only real way to tell if a diamond is real is to let someone look at it that knows what they are looking at. They can tell you if it is a genuine diamond and tell you what quality it is. There are tons of imitations. There are diamond testers that pretty well for about $100.00 also. If the ring is inexpensive and the diamond looks clear not yellow with no visible imperfections, clouds, or black dots; then that sounds too good to be true. I'll attach a little more info about diamond quality as a resource.
There are several ways to check the quality of your diamond. You can get the GIA diamond appraised to prove its authenticity.
To determine if a diamond is of SI2 quality, you would need to have it graded by a professional gemologist who examines the diamond under magnification for inclusions and blemishes. An SI2 diamond typically has noticeable inclusions that may be visible to the naked eye. It's important to have the diamond certified by a reputable gemological laboratory to verify its quality.
A 15 carat diamond will usually cost well over $100,000, depending on the quality. The price can even go up to $500,000 or more, with a good quality cut.
good question.... just tell me WHAT legendary you want.
By the quality of sound coming from the speakers.
Under magnification the flaws and inperfections can be seen,a poor quality gem may appear cloudy.
Good is a judgement and you are the judge. Your initials G-H could indicate colour, with D being the highest grade of colour for a white diamond; the initials VS are usually followed by a number, such as 1 or 2 and indicates Very Slight inclusion(s), visible under a 10x loupe. Depending on the carat weight and the quality of the cut and the cut, this diamond could retain its investment value as a jewelery-quality diamond.

The cut of a diamond refers to the shape and the make. The shape is self-explanatory and the make is the quality that the diamond was made into shape. A good make in a diamond is considered more important than other features like clarity and color of the diamond. Proportion, symmetry and polish all affect how good the make is. Proportion and symmetry are the key factors in determining the flow of light. You want proportions that are not too deep or too shallow. Polish is important too. A well-polished diamond produces a sharp sparkle while a poorly-polished diamond can look fuzzy.
'Good quality' is relative. The quality of every diamond is rated according to its colour, its cut, its clarity and its carat weight. The top quality diamonds are D colour (for white) or Intense Fancy Vivid colour (for coloured), Flawless in clarity, are cut 'perfectly' and have a large carat weight. You can ask your KMart retailer for the quality 'papers' on the diamond you want to buy, and compare those qualities to the top quality factors listed here.
Depends on the quality of the diamond in question.
