Any job which is done on a per client basis can have flexible hours. As an independent or self-employed person and depending on the individual the work may represent only a few hours per week or more than 12 hours a day.
If a cosmetologist works for salon as an employee, the hours may be set on daily or weekly basis - again ranging fro a few to 40 or more hours a week. Local department of labour regulation may determine the upper end of the work week.
