Considering the lip and nose will be done with a piercing needle in a licensed and inspected facility by a trained and experienced professional body piercer, it should be no problem, just a mild pinch.
If you are getting a ear piercing it doesn't hurt at all but other kinds of piercings non your body hurt depending on where you get them!

To answer this question, you really need to define what you look like. Eye piercings and bellybutton piercings I think are quite ugly, but that's my opinion. I think ear piecings look nice, and they don't hurt as much.
