Tongue piercings do not hurt much. Even a tongue web or double tonuge which seem to have a higher pain level, do not hurt too much. As ar as I 've experienced, an ear piercing hurts more than any other piercing. I am plannig to have a conch piercing and just read at site rightpiercing dot com that it hurts too much if I plan to have an inner and outer conch at the same time. Emily

Well the cost of any piercing depends on several factors. Experience and knowledge of the piercer providing the service, the types of jewellery used for the specific piercing (material types: IE stainless steel, titanium, garbage. also the style of jewellery: surface bar, bend bar etc.) .There is no standardized training for body piercers (there should be) so this means you need to do your own research to find one that "really" knows what they are doing. Technique is the biggest part of the piercing you are after, this is a skill set that only "good" piercers will experience have. There are several ways to do any piercing, however there's only a few ways the piercing can be done to allow the body to accept the new piercing and heal it. So when you ask about "how much is a blah blah piercing" you need to realize what is involved in providing that piercing. Now there are shops that want to build a good reputation based on customer satisfaction (hundreds of healthy piercings), and there are shops that, "just want your money" and could care less if you have issues with the piercing they have provided. So you need to shop experience and quality over how cheap can I get it done for. Cheap piercings are not good, good piercings are not cheap. So this doesn't quite answer your question, but it does give you some more insight you didn't have before you asked the question. Hip piercings can range from $250.00 to $300.00 for a pair of double jeweled, flat surface barbells made from Grade 23 Titanium done by a professional body piercer using the punch and taper technique. To as low as $100.00 using 316 lvm surgical stainless steel barbells, done by an idiot using the pinch and poke technique. I can tell you that one piercing will last much longer than the latter due to the jewellery, technique and experience of the service provider (piercer).
