I have really dark brown hair so dark that I just say black.......anywhoo, the lighter your hair is the better you can see non permanent hair dye. But good news it does work you could see the color but like I said not as bright if it was blonde or something. You do not have to BLEACH it which is great. It is not flakey and hard (gross)! follow the instruction and if you know what to do go on youtube search splat washables tutorial no bleach and you will get it from there.
