Gel ink contains pigments or dyes that can be more prone to staining because they adhere strongly to surfaces. When the ink comes in contact with porous materials like paper or fabric, it can quickly absorb and leave a lasting mark. Additionally, the consistency of gel ink is thicker than other types of ink, which can contribute to its ability to create more stubborn stains.
