I assume you mean A&D ointment. You should only use A&D ointment for new tattoos and other skin rash or irritation issues. For piercings it is recommended to use a mixture of sea salt and warm water (1/4 teaspoon of seasalt to one cup of warm water) More salt is not better, it will irritate the piercing. Also be advised I am not a medical professional, I just have alot of experience healing tattoos and piercings
You should keep putting A and D ointment on your tattoos at least two times a day for three to four days. Wash your hands with bacterial soap before touching your tattoos.
The best ointment is no ointment for at least 2 days. Then Aveeno when its tight. (source: Kore Flatmo, google him bitch)

Vitamin A+D ointment is good for the first 3 or 4 days but you can also use pure cocoa butter (without added scents or dyes or anything). Cocoa butter is better to use and it can be used longer Vitamin A+D ointment is good for the first 3 or 4 days but you can also use pure cocoa butter (without added scents or dyes or anything). yes of course. but if youre buying a tube and have the option, A&D is better. the vitamins make a difference. Never use A&D ointment on a new tattoo...It has no therapeutic value what so ever and like vasoline is only a moisture protection...These words were told to me by the head Doctor over the Alabama Dept. of public health...Hope this helps..
There are many good sources of pictures with foot tattoos. This includes a good tattoo design book, sites dedicated to tattoos, tattoo blogs and forums on tattoos.
