I assume you mean A&D ointment. You should only use A&D ointment for new tattoos and other skin rash or irritation issues. For piercings it is recommended to use a mixture of sea salt and warm water (1/4 teaspoon of seasalt to one cup of warm water) More salt is not better, it will irritate the piercing. Also be advised I am not a medical professional, I just have alot of experience healing tattoos and piercings
You should keep putting A and D ointment on your tattoos at least two times a day for three to four days. Wash your hands with bacterial soap before touching your tattoos.

yes of course. but if youre buying a tube and have the option, A&D is better. the vitamins make a difference. Never use A&D ointment on a new tattoo...It has no therapeutic value what so ever and like vasoline is only a moisture protection...These words were told to me by the head Doctor over the Alabama Dept. of public health...Hope this helps..
