Picking at scabs stops them from doing what they are designed to do.... heal wounds.

Picking at them can leave extreme permanent marks behind. Also it builds a very strong immunity to healing other diseases or wounds a child or adult may have also.

They will fall off when they are done doing what they need to do. When picking scabs you are destroying your body's capability to produce blood cells too.
