The same thing happened to me. My friend bleached my hair but I wasn't happy with it as it was too bright so I went to my local salon and when they tried to tone it down my side fringe turned an ashy/grey colour. The only thing I can suggest is to keep washing it as it fades in time. I used fairy liquid which I found helped and although it may sound strange tomato ketchup left in your hair for 20 mins ir so helps to fade the ash colour also.
