I got mine done almost a month ago and its red around the barbell still. There is whits crust around the holes, and my skin around the barbell is peeling. People keep telling me that its just irritated, but i had one girl tell me that it was rejecting. do you have any of the same symptoms or is your just red?? Can someone please answer my question??
if you have only recently had your navel pierced it is still healing and will hurt for up to the next 4 weeks, it should be kept clean to avoid infection. if it has been over 4 weeks and it still hurts, check for reddness around the area. if it is not red you may have just caught it on something. If it is red, check for any discharge from around the piercing, if that is also present seek medical advice
yes but only after 3 to 4 weeks
Wash the piercing take out the jewellery and leave it alone. It will heal over in a few months or a few weeks it depends on how old the piercing is.
yes
Unless you have a good reason for wanting to take out the jewellery (hospital x-rays), there should be no need to remove the jewellery from a navel piercing.
Navel. I have had both done. Navel hurts and takes forever to heal. The tongue is so quick you do t even feel it. And it takes no more than two weeks to heal.
A belly-button piercing is usually still healing after 3 weeks, although the swelling and redness should have gone down and should be almost completely gone! If the area still looks irritated/puffy, or red then it's still healing. I hope this helped!(:
Hopefully, it is not infected. The skin of the area should be clear and healed. If it is still red, bumpy, bloody or anything else abnormal, continue to wash it twice a day and make sure to see a doctor to make sure it isn't infected.
Some people scar but i didnt It was Red for a while though, but a couple weeks after i got it it went back to normal
No
You should wait at least 6 to 8 weeks to change the jewelry in any piercing. You can go to your local piercing place and they should change it for free. If you only had the piercing for two weeks and it's fallen out already I would suggest you have a word with your so called professional body piercer. Who ever did the piercing clearly doesn't know what he/she is doing. If you did the piercing your self you should at this point realize you just messed up a perfectly good navel that would have been ideal for a professionally done navel piercing. Fact of the matter is this the more you mess around sticking holes in it the more it will hurt when you finally realize a professional should be doing the piercing. If this piercing was done by a so called professional I would be contacting the city licensing department and the health unit and filing a formal complaint about the lack of knowledge, skill and professionalism they have provided you with. Then go see a real professional body piercer and have it done correctly.
