a quasi is like a semi but it uses a developer to enter the cortex of the hair. You dont tend to get a regrowth it just fades out. A quasi colour uses a peroxide to develop it therefore you MUST have a skin test 48 hrs prior the service. It lift the cuticle slightly entering the cortex and therefore this is why we do not get a regrowth as it washes out after 20 shampoo's

What effects does a quasi permanent colour do to the hair structure?

Quasi permanent hair color is gentle on the hair structure, but gets lighter with each hair wash. This type of color keeps the hair structure soft.

How long does a quasi colour last?

A quasi color typically lasts for a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on factors such as the product used, hair type, and maintenance routine. Quasi colors are designed to deposit color without penetrating the hair shaft as deeply as permanent dyes, leading to a more temporary effect. Regular washing and exposure to environmental factors can also influence the longevity of the color. For best results, using color-safe shampoos and minimizing heat styling can help prolong the vibrant appearance.

What effects does a quasi have to the hair structure?

A quasi, or quasi-permanent hair color, typically penetrates the hair shaft more than semi-permanent dyes but less than permanent colors. It can enhance the hair's shine and vibrancy while providing some conditioning benefits. However, repeated use may lead to potential dryness or damage, especially if the hair is already compromised. Overall, a quasi can improve color and appearance while being less harsh than permanent options.

What part of the hair structure does it affect for quasi colours?

Quasi-colors primarily affect the hair's cuticle and cortex. The cuticle, which is the outermost layer of the hair, is where the color molecules enter and deposit, while the cortex, the inner layer, contains the natural pigment (melanin). Quasi-colors typically coat the hair and can penetrate the cuticle to some extent, allowing for a semi-permanent change in color without fully altering the natural pigment. This results in a temporary color effect that can fade over time with washing.
