I know that you can develop nasal polyps at the root of the nose. Nasal polyps are basically growths within the nose or even in the sinus cavities. They are usually non-cancerous but they can affect your lifestyle if they are big.
Often a person that has nasal polyps snores at night and can feel as if their nose and sinuses are congested. There can even be pain at the root of the nose and some people complain about a diminished sense of smell and taste. In severe cases the polyps can deform the shape of your nose and face.
