Three things:
Makes your eyelids a little bit lighter than the rest of your face--and neutralizes any redness in your eyelids. (Men with really heavy coloration in their eyelids should consider using this; it helps them look like they are NOT wearing makeup, strange as that sounds.)

You can use them as a liner, only on the lid with a nude eyeshadow or any color that compliments it. Or you can use them as an all over color.

I have ivory skin and I like to wear a very soft pink blush. For lipstick, I usually wear a nude/soft pink color during the day and a darker pink/magenta for night. :)

Pigments have MANY uses. You can press them into normal eyeshadow, which there are many tutorials of online, or depending on the color, you can use them as blush, eyeshadow, or highlight.
