In my opinion highlights don't look good on black hair. Except for red; red goes well with black.

well the other person is right. Red highlights do look good with black hair because i have dark dark brown hair but i still think that light brown highlights would look awesome on black hair! or blond u choose! maybe even blue! :P

it looks nice on a fringe, but normally just streaks all around the hair --i've found that highlights look best when they aren't applied to the very top layer of hair. when they are, they look too fake. i always clip up the top section and start putting them underneath that top layer, starting about an inch down from the roots.
