A size 20 dress typically corresponds to a waist measurement of approximately 38 to 40 inches (96.5 to 101.6 cm). However, sizing can vary between different brands and designers, so it's always best to consult the specific sizing chart for accurate measurements. Additionally, some brands may label their sizes differently, so trying on the dress or checking individual measurements is advisable.

You need to be more specific.. Where is the dress from? Is it a US size 26 or an Australian 26 etc Im Australian, so with the research that I just did on the internet a dress size 26 is on average a waist size of about 45" (inches) Which is considered to be a plus size, if you're not talking plus sizes please let us know. The inch size for a dress size 26 varied from site to site but on average it was between a 44" to a 47" I guess it depends on the dress itself. Hope I was of some help =)
The waist measurement of a size eighteen dress is ninety-three centimeters or 36.5 inches. The bust size of a size 18 dress is 109 centimeters or forty-three inches.
In the UK a size 10 dress or skirt has a 28 inch waist and sizes go up in increments of 2". Size 12 would therefore have a 30" waist, size 14, a 32" inch waist, size 16, a 34" waist, size 18, a 36" waist and so on. For a waist 33" you would either have to settle for a size 14, with a 32 inch waist, or go one larger and get a size 16, which would have a 34" waist.
Either a 2 or 4 depending on how small the dress size runs.

I think that it goes up in twos: 22" waist = Size 8 24" waist = Size 10 26" waist = Size 12 28" waist = Size 14 30" waist = Size 16 32" waist = Size 18 34" waist = Size 20 In my experience the UK shops vary greatly so I wouldn't rely on it. hope this helps
