Why are there ugly people in this world?

Opinion What is "beautiful", and what is "ugly", is often a matter of like or dislike in the western world. We are the victims of conditioning as a result of the movies we watch. What we consider beautiful depends on the opinion of someone that wants you to pay them to watch their movie. In the 1920s, women tried to hide their breasts as they were considered unattractive. Yet, people who love each other are glad to see each other once more - time after time. I bet a young child that hasn't had his or her brain washed by the media jet never seen his or her parents as "ugly". "Ugliness" comes out of the mind of the viewer. Another Opinion Agreeing to the above opinion, I think some people call themselves "ugly", as they turn out to be "beautiful". Another Opinion No one is "ugly". The problem with appearances is that every single person compares them to another person, because everyone looks different.

Well, the human mind differs ugly has many different things what one may perceive as extremely beautiful may actually to another be hideous and ugly. Socio-economic status also has a lot to do with the good looks too, the people with more money can afford to look more put together than someone with less. but yet there is some pretty poor people so it has not a lot to do. but if you look at people with ripped out teeth and golden teeth theres your sign. Also choice has a lot to do with the manner as well. there is people with horse anus looking lips (seriously that's what i think of people who get too muck collagen to the lips). But in all honesty beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Ugly, like beauty, is in the mind of the beholder. The ugly must be in your own mind. So, you will please explain to us why many people look ugly to you.

Depends on what you consider to be cute and ugly. One human being might think blonde hair is ugly while another think its not. (These are not my choices, only examples) It is a matter of choice.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Do not look on the outer side of a person but on the inside, there you will find true beauty. You are falling into the trap of not recognising that not all so called ugly people are ugly. Look at them closely and you will find that they are no different to you, they just have different features which in your own eyes you refer to as being ugly, not to your liking. Some people may look "Cute" but look at them close enough or long enough and you will see that they are not as perfect as you think. Ugly and deformed in features are two different things, but both have a special attraction if one looks with kind eyes.
