No...perms are like bleach...it's there till it grows out. It might weaken some but it won't "go away." It may take a wash or two to "plump" back up but the perm will remain.
The perm may be weakened, but it shouldn't destroy your perm.
You should use a straightening iron.
I do know that you can get a perm which will last for about 6 months
You can, but you'll have to wait a month or two for the chemical straightening to wear off. After that, feel free to perm away.
Yes. Relaxing (chemical straightening) has a higher pH than perm lotion, it is more alkaline, and is harder on the hair.
Have you ever gotten a perm before? No, you are not supposed to, it would ruin your perm. {Perm means somthing along the line of PERMANENT!!}
Nope, but it will take the curls out of your hair and ruin your perm.
Flat irons do not ruin perms but the more you use it the less curly or wavier your perm will be so don't be a straightner addict like me and us it everyday.
If by straightening you mean with a flat iron then no, it won't cause your hair to lose curl.
Neutralizer are applied after a relaxer or perm. A relaxer straightens and a perm curls. Neutralizer locks the hair into it's straight shape and it also removes the chemicals from your hair to make it stop working.
It is not necessarily recommended to get a perm on a rainy day due to the higher level of moisture and humidity that could ruin the newly-done perm. However, rain should not nonetheless stop you from a perm, but only if you be careful and try your best to remain inside and away from the water.
Yes. My hair was straight with only a little wave, I put it in a perm a year ago and it was awesome...just remember, it's permanent. I'm sick of it now, but I have to wait until it finishes growing out. If I don't do anything to my hair, the top of it is straight and then near my ears it's wavy. Not so awesome.
