Women have long enjoyed wearing gold earrings, both for their beauty, and for the comfort that high quality gold jewelry provides. While less expensive metals can cause women's skin to turn green and become irritated, putting in a gold earring means that she will be able to wear it comfortably for days or even weeks. Gold earrings are available in many different styles, as well as colors. Gold earrings may be purchased based on karat weight, which is the amount of gold that the gold earring consists of. Gold earrings quality of gold ranges from 10K, which is the lowest quality to 24K, which is the highest quality. The higher the gold content, the softer the gold earring will be, which means that these finely worked pieces of jewelry may be very fragile. Gold earrings may be purchased in the traditional yellow gold, which is what is often thought of in response to gold earring, however white gold earrings, which look like silver or platinum, and pink hued rose gold earrings, have also gained popularity in recent years. Jewelry stores and department stores, ranging from high end retailer Barney's to discount super store Wal-Mart, sell gold earrings in a variety of sizes and styles. Gold ball stud earrings have long been popular with women, since they are inconspicuous, and comfortable to wear for a long period of time. For women with two piercings in each ear lobe, gold ball stud earrings make a great choice for the second piercing, while women will put more elaborate gold earrings in the first piercing. Gold hoop earrings are very popular. These gold earrings may be large, and dramatic, pieces of jewelry, or they may be tamer, and smaller, pieces of jewelry. Women who work in more formal offices, such as those requiring them to wear business suits to work each day, are most likely to wear these small gold hoop earrings. Gold earrings also can be different shapes, and are affixed to pierced ears via a stud piercing, like the gold ball stud earrings. These shapes cover all manner of novelties, such as teddy bears, flowers, or hearts. They may also be clip on earrings, suitable for women without pierced ears.
If the earrings are green maybe... Oh and if its fake. Yeah, especially that. Also, and this one is important, if you keep it on the whole time green mold MIGHT grow. Be scared.
Typically, earrings would not have an apostrophe. However, if you write something that "belongs to" the earrings, it could need an apostrophe. For examples: The earrings' sparkle made them look expensive. The earrings' post broke. I did not like the lime green coloring against the earrings' predominately hot pink color. My friend liked the earrings, but her mother thought the earrings' silver-colored posts would turn her ears green.
Besides being expensive, gold is a very soft metal, so it is mixed with harder metals to make it suitable for earrings (also gold coins, cuff links, tie clasps, rings, toe rings, navel rings, and just about everything else made from gold). Nickel is often used, and it turns black from exposure to the air, which is why an old nickel coin turns black. The gold itself should not turn black.
If they are newly pierced, then they weren't healed all the way OR your skin healed to the bar of the earring. This can happen if you don't turn your earrings everyday. Just put the jewelry back in and be sure to clean and spin them twice a day for a week or two then try again.
