The actual gene make up of an organism? -Lilian I'm not errasing anything But next time know, the question is not the answer. The answer is
Actuvally it is not a gene it is a chromosomes from mother and father.and they are divided by mitotic and miotic division and produce cell of somatic.they are the stem cell and they are the basic cells of life.
A genotype is the entire genetic make up of an organism. The phenotype is the actual expressed traits or characteristics found within an organism. The distinction between genotype and phenotype can be made based on dominant and recessive genes.
well, genotype can be the two alleles for any given gene, while phenotype is the actual (observable) expression of that gene.
it relates to the phenotype A phenotype is how the organism looks based on which genes are expressed. A genotype is how the organism is genetically structured, including recessive genes that are not apparent when looking at the organism. Some diseases, like colorblindness, are recessive and are only expressed when there is not a dominant gene to override it. The entire genetic makeup of an animal is its genome.
proteins->alleles->dna->cell->organism. Your question is ambiguous.
all i know is, is that two chromosomes(and only two) make up one gene which can make up a bunch of organisms.

A gene is just the DNA that stores genetic information, a genome is all the genetic material in an organism.
Genotype: Genetic makeup of an individual ( the alleles present in an individual)
Usually used in GMOs (genetically modified organism) as 'markers' when a plant is genetically engineered to see if it has taken up the new gene. GLO-gene becomes visible in the organism when put under ultraviolet light.
An allele is all the possibilities for a gene, a gene is what a living thing has. They are the same thing as far as i am concerned but I'm sure someone else out there can answer this better than I. Regards Arezoth
no alleles are what make up a gene
Its the set of characteristics it receives from its parents :)
