When we say renewable, we are usually referring to energy: but in this case animals are renewable in sorts because all living things have the ability to reproduce naturally. As a result of the reproduction process the animal is "renewed".

In general, yes, plants are renewable. But some of them take a loooooooooong time to grow back. Like the giant sequoia. And if you destroy their habitat or the environment where they like to grow, they may not be able to come back.
