no they are just purple stuff
Identical twins come from the same egg and sperm so they have all the same DNA. When the egg is fertilized it starts splitting to form new cells which is how the embryo grows. Sometimes when the egg splits it comes totally apart creating two embryos with one cell instead of one embryo with two cells. Both of these grown into fully formed babies but since they share all the same DNA they look identical. Fraternal (non-identical) twins are from two different eggs and two different sperm. When a woman ovulates (releases an egg) she usually releases just one. Sometimes she will release two (or more) at the same time and if they both get fertilized then two babies will be born. These two babies are not any more closely related genetically than any other brothers and sisters are.
Non-identical twins are formed only when there are two or more separate egg cells produced by the ovary, they will remain in the fallopian tube until fertilized by a sperm cell or when menstruation occurs
Identical twins are formed by the separation of the same embryo containing same genetic coding. thus the the twins are identical as formed from the same embryo. But this is not the case in the non-identical twins as they are formed from the individual embro each having different genetic coding.
By definition two children born to the same mother at the same time would be twins. It would be possible that they would not be twins if they were only half brothers, meaning that they shared a father but were born to two different mothers at the same time, or where they shared the same mother and father, but one was carried and born to a surrogate, or both by two separate surrogates and just happened to look very simmilar, though they would share different DNA. If they did share the exact same DNA and also were not twins one would have to be the 'clone' or the other, meaning that a single embryo was 'conceived' from one sperm and one egg, which was cloned, and each embryo was implanted into a different woman's womb, and were born at the exact same time. They could just be dogs or another animal that is born in a liter. They're brothers and look exactly the same, but aren't neccesarily twins.
Non identical twins.
No. Conjoined twins are always identical twins, and never just fraternal twins. Identical twins come from a single embryo that splits. In the case of conjoined twins, a complete split never occurs. So when they come from the same embryo, they are always the same gender.
yes twins infact, they died just after birth
Identical twins, or monozygotic twins are formed from one zygote. This is usually a result of damage to the embryo that causes it to split into two. If both halves are big enough to survive and the split has happened early enough on then two badies sharing one amniotic sac, one placenta and the same DNA will be born.
Stem cells are removed just after conception when the zygote is forming into an embryo. When stem cells are taken, the embryo cannot develop, and so does die.
Yes, my sister just had a miscarriage and she was carrying twins. But one of the babies survived. If they are identical, then neither will survive, but otherwise one will
Usually just one. Twins can be born, just not as common.
Just one, there have been cases of twins but it's not a very high percentage. Usually just one
i would have to say no because i am an identical twin and when you hear twin you think of identical ones. also fraternal twins aren't really twins because they are 2 separate babies that just happened to be fertilized at the same time.
Identical twins will have the same father, so a paternity test is done just like for any kid. With fraternal twins, it is possible, but very, very rare, to have different fathers for the babies.
Koalas usually have just one baby at a time, but twins are not unknown.
Both llamas and alpacas only have one baby, also called a cria. They are like horses in which that 99.9% of the time they only have one baby, but in rare cases, like horses, they may have twins, but often one or both of the twins dies and possibly the mother. But I have seen here on the internet one set of twins where the mother and the babies all lived and the babies are growing up just fine.
Two, but usually one.
