Some may be in the wrong environment, so they don't get what they need and die out, unable to (usually) produce seeds.

Plants normally go extinct (or become endangered) due to natural changes of climate or geography (droughts, volcanic erruptions); or by the intervention of man - normally poor agricultural practices, over farming or logging

Plants can become extinct when all their seeds and grown or growing plants have been destroyed. They might be destroyed by fires, floods or if the weather conditions are completely different from normal conditions (e.g. if a tropical plant gets hit by extremely cold temperatures). Plants becoming extinct is not very common as most plant seeds can survive tough conditions.
