We got a kitten who was a barn kitten and he developed a cold and eye infection very quickly. Then I as well as my two kids developed an eye infection. The cat has been on three rounds of creme the eyes clear up and then as soon as I stop the eye treatment it comes back. Same with us! The infection we have is different from anything I have ever experiences - the ye looks a little pink or cloudy but nothing very obvious but they itch and sting a lot and are irritated - it comes and goes. Now we all have this cycle going on and I can't seem to cure anyone!!! I am positive this came from the cat to us.
you can get cat scratch fever from a cat if it scratches you and has not been treated for distemper.
Your cat probably strached his eye. when you are dealing with eyes, the best treatment is from a doctor. Take it to the vet. If there is a scratch in the cornea he will need some antibiotics to prevent a secondary infection from getting started while it heals. If it is an eye infection call "conjuntivitis" it will still need opthalmic ointment or drops to clear it up. It is probably something simple, but why take a chance with cat loosing his sight. opthalmalic ointment works very well.
A pus pocket under the eye lid can form if if there is an infection in and around the eye.
Thoroughly vacuum and dust your entire house. Your cat possibly has allergies just like humans ... at least that is how our cats react to pollen and dust. Carefully rinse and wash the area with a saline solution (like contact lens cleaner). Probably since it is green, you should visit the vet for antibiotics.
Yes, if the eye gouge leads to a MRSA infection. A MRSA infection is a potentially life threatening infection that can be introduced by someone with a dirty finger while eye gouging person. Even if the person being eye gouged had previously had a MRSA infection, the fact they were eye gouged and the eye gouge introduced the infection, could lead to death. Eye gouging is an evil act. The only time you'd do it is if you're in a war situation and your being attacked by people who want to kill you.
You may have a eye infection or bloodshot eyes.

No. The transmission of rabies is through saliva. It requires a bite, or infected saliva entering an open wound, eye, or nose.
why in the world would you even want to do that?
my cat has an eye infection what would be the dosage of liquid baytril
usually the eye will be runny and there maybe some red on the fur under the eye. if this is the case you need it to see a vet and they will prescribe some medication. second answer: recently my dog had an eye infection her eye was bulging out and it was swelled up! I may be serious but go to a vet right away!
While a vet may prescribe amoxycillin (Clavamox) for an eye infection, it is unlikely; amoxycillin is usually a suspension that contains things that are not good for eyes, and administered by mouth it is unlikely to get to the eyes. Your vet will likely be able to prescribe eye drops that contain an antibiotic that is safe for your cat's eyes.
Cat's don't cry like humans do. If a cat's eye tears, then the duct might be blocked, or perhaps an infection.
dust or pollen may get inside your cat's eye, making the cat's eye watery. for this reason, it does not last for long (the watery condition) if the cat's eye watery for a long time, it may due to other reason/reasons. then, you should consult a vet for a better answer and better treatment for the cat.
