What other organ do you have to see with? Of course you use your eyes to see body cells (and everything else too). You will have to use a microscope too, to make the cells look large enough for you to see them though.

Yes, you can see some cells with just your eyes. The yolk of an egg is a single cell designed to store food for the growing chick think how big an ostrich eggs yolk is. Some algae such as Caulerpa reach around six feet. Human nerve cells are several feet long. You can just about see human ova with the naked eye. You may be able to see the dead cells in a thin sliver of wood, giving it a honeycomb like appearance, the gaps being where the cytoplasm once was.

Only big cells. Cut open an orange and all of those little strings are cells. :)

Yes, they form the skin which you can see with your eyes. To see an individual cell you would need a microscope.

Why are the cells in your ears designd differently then the cells in your eyes?

Living cells are differentiated to be suitable to their use. Ears don't see, they hear. Eyes don't hear, they see. Neither one produces insulin, the cells of the pancreas do. None of these carry oxygen to the body's tissues, the red corpuscles do. Cells that create bone (Osteoblasts) are quite different from the above cells. And cells that destroy bone (Osteoclasts) are different, still. Cells that are part of living bone (Osteocytes) are even different. But all cells do their intended jobs exceedingly well.
