The weeping willow is a graceful tree with flexible hanging branches that droop nearly to the ground. It can be quite large, reaching 30 to 40 feet tall with a broad open crown as wide as it is tall. It does well near water.

The origin of this tree is China and it has been propagated around the world because of its attractiveness. There are several other species closely related but none with the long flowing branches.
