They're not, that is why you must consume them every day, so that they you don't end up ill. If you don't consume vitamins and minerals daily, you could die. That is why the government tries to make you eat your 5-a-day!

There is just no where to store them so you must constantly renew your supplies.

yes, the skeletal system stores minerals, but only a limited amout. when the bones of a skeletal system are exposed, then they begin to take on a lot of minerals and become harder. if this happened when they were still in our bodies, then we would be very stiff all the time.
