I got mine yesterday. When you first get it it is really uncomfortable! But you start to get used to it. I'm still not use to it and this morning my mouth is very sore. It's kind of creepy and weird when you eat and drink for the first time. And you also talk really weird. But you will et used to it! Good luck!

Do expanders hurt when put on?

The process of putting on dental expanders can cause some discomfort, but it typically isn't painful. Patients may experience pressure or slight soreness in the teeth and jaw as the expander applies force to widen the palate. Any discomfort usually subsides after a few days as the mouth adjusts to the appliance. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help manage any mild pain during this adjustment period.
