As with the case of plant responses to different types of music being played, there's no definitive answer to whether plants grow faster because they're being talked to. The idea appears to be that plants may grow faster if people talk to them at close range. The reason tends to be twofold. One is that people expel carbon dioxide when they talk. Plants take in CO2, and release oxygen, as part of photosynthesis. So more CO2 helps photosynthesis, which leads to more energy reserves for plant activities, and therefore improved plant health. The other is that people up close to their plants pay more attention to plant appearance and needs. So they're quick to spot, and control, stresses and stressors such as yo-yo watering or spider mites.

Actually, for carbon dioxide to even begin to affect the plant, you would have to talk to it for at least seven hours a day. Most scientists believe the reason talking and music help plants is because of the vibrations caused by sound waves or the pitch at witch you speak. It is believed that plants like sound at around 70-92 decibles.

There may be another reason... Experiments that have been conducted show that positive thoughts can change the molecular structure of the world around us, as demonstrated by Japanese author, Masaru Emoto.

Can a plant grow faster in the shade or sun?

it all depends on what plant it is. some plants grow better in the sun, some in the shade.THE CAN OF PLANTS IS A CATUS (SHADE) AND A SUNFLOWER (SUN).

Does the plant grows faster when it reach sunlight?

Yes, plants generally grow faster when they receive sufficient sunlight because sunlight is crucial for photosynthesis, the process through which plants produce energy to grow. Sunlight provides the necessary energy for plants to convert water and carbon dioxide into glucose and oxygen. So, plants that reach sunlight can photosynthesize more efficiently and therefore grow faster.

Do plants grow faster with vitamin water or tap water?

No. If you water a plant with vitamin water the soil starts molding, the seeds do not sprout and it smells really bad! I've tried this myself at home that's how I know! yes plants will grow no plant will not grow

What kind of soil makes plants grow faster?

The kind of soil that makes plants grow faster is known as loam soil. Sandy and clay soil do not promote proper development and growth of plants as they lack essential nutrients for the growth of plants.

Do plants grow faster in dark or sun?

Plants require light for photosynthesis, so it is impossible for plants to increase in dry biomass without any light. Some plants do not require high levels of light for growth, because they are adapted to low light conditions (such as jungle and forest plants). Plants left in the dark will grow taller than plants in lighted conditions over a short period of time, but they will also be yellower and more spindly (etiolation). The increased height is a response to low light levels - the plant is trying to grow over anything that may be blocking the light, and will grow towards any source of light. As mentioned in the discussion page of this question this response is controlled by auxins in the plant growth points. For very short periods of time the plant will appear to be going faster than a control plant in normal light intensities - however, this is because the stem is normally thinner so the amount of biomass produced is roughly the same. In addition the plant has to make use of stored energy reserves as it is not able to photosynthesis. Etiolation is a form of self-protection mechanism, the plant expends energy and reserves looking for a source of light that can ensure its continued survival.
