Not all types of plant cells perform photosynthesis. Most cells on the shoot of the plant (depending on the plant) are capable of photosynthesis. However, most root cells are white because they lack pigments and, therefore, are incapable of photosynthesis.

The animal cells do not go through photosynthesis because we are all heterotrophs meaning we get energy from eating other things. Plant cells, however, get their energy from the sun, so they use the sun and CO2 to form oxygen and glucose.

No animals do not photosynthesize. They do not have the particle known as chlorophyll. Without this important component there will be no photosynthesis in animals.

What process does not occur in animal cells?

The process of osmosis and photosynthesis are not performed by animal cells.

Do plant and animal cells both have photosynthesis?

Well what is the point of chloroplasts? They help with photosynthesis and other chemical reactions like that. What uses photosynthesis? Not animals. They get their energy from food. Plants use photosynthesis to get energy from the sun. So what's your answer? Just pants!

Why do animal cells cannot make their own organic food?

dont no

Why are animal cells are not capable of carrying out photosynthesis?

Chloroplasts are the organelles plant cells use for photosynthesis. Animal cells do not contain chloroplasts.Animal cells are not capable of carrying out photosynthesis because of the lack of energy from the sun. Our cells do not have chloroplast which is needed to contribute to photosynthesis. To contribute to photosynthesis you need chloroplast to pull energy from the sun. Animals have mitochondria in the cell which plants also have, but instead of it collecting the energy from the chloroplast the mitochondria collects energy from the food we consume. Fact is, we have a food chain which is needed for energy for animals. Without the chloroplast and chlorophyll, we have no means of photosynthesis.

Which of these distinguishes a plant cell from an animal cell?

plants cells have cell walls around their cell membrane for extra support, while animal cells only have the cell membrane. plants cells also contain contractile vacuoles, while animal cells don't. Plant cells have chloroplasts. Animal cells don't. :)

What kind of cells use chlorophyll to produce glucose?

Animal cells - this is wrong answer Plant cells containing chloroplasts produce glucose by photosynthesis.

Can ducks produce chlorophyll?

No, only plants, algea, photosynthetic protists, and cyanobacteria undergo photosynthesis. Ducks are animals, so they have animal cells. Animal cells are do not have the organelles possible for photosynthesis.

Animal cells are able to produce glucose through photosynthesis?

No they contain no chlorophyll so can't photosynthesise

That animal cells are able to produce glucose through photosynthesis?

Do cells use photosynthesis?

Plant cells do, animal cells don't.

Why do plant cells have more parts than animal cells?

honeslty i have no idea. :( Because plants produce organic compounds by photosynthesis and a large number of other metabolites.

Why don't animal cell need chloroplasts?

Animal cells are not capable of photosynthesis hence these cells lack chloroplasts. We can also put it this way, that since animal cells lack chloroplasts, these are not capable of photosynthesis.

What biochemical process occurs in plants cells but not in animal cells?

Photosynthesis.

What do plant cells have that animal cells do not have that allows them to carry out photosynthesis?

leaves

Why is it important for the cells to produce energy in people and NOT plants?

Many plant cells produce energy through Photosynthesis.

Why do plants cells have choroplast and animal cell do not have them?

Plant cells have chloroplasts because they undergo photosynthesis, which is the process of converting sunlight into energy. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll, which is necessary for capturing sunlight. Animal cells do not undergo photosynthesis; therefore, they do not need chloroplasts.
