∙ 15y agoThe animal cells do not go through photosynthesis because we are all heterotrophs meaning we get energy from eating other things. Plant cells, however, get their energy from the sun, so they use the sun and CO2 to form oxygen and glucose.

Fact is, we have a food chain which is needed for energy for animals. Without the chloroplast and chlorophyll, we have no means of photosynthesis.
